MONTANA TO LEGALIZE EATING ROADKILL

Montana lawmakers have passed a bill to allow people to preserve and eat roadkill.

House Bill 247 allows people to apply for permits to scrape dead animals off the road and take them home to eat.

This really is a no-brainer considering that many people consider antelope, deer and elk meat to be a delicacy – and that Montana’s speed limit is 75 miles per hour.

The bill’s sponsor, State Representative Steve Lavin, explained, “People hit a lot of animals on roadways, and I mean a ton of them. There’s a lot of good meat being wasted out there.”
