I can tell you where nearly every cent of those ten dollars went, week in and week out, by consulting the “Best Selling Albums” charts from that magical year. Every trip to the record store resulted in my young mind being blown by another Earth-shattering recording that was destined for immortality.
The albums I bought with my paper route money that year changed me forever. I still look back on 1973 as the greatest year in the history of rock music.
