The Steelers are one-third of the way to their OLB-S-RB NFL Draft Hat Trick.
On to Round Two:
With only three safeties having vacated the board on Round One choices at the position abound. Shamarko Thomas of Syracuse (SS/FS) or Phillip Thomas of Fresno State (FS) would be second-round fits. So would Jonathan Cyprien (SS, Florida International), Duke Williams (SS/FS Nevada) and D.j. Swearinger (FS, South Carolina).
As for Round Three:
The running backs, as I see it, remain stacked thusly _ Eddie Lacy (Alabama), Giovani Bernard (North Carolina) and Le’veon Bell (Michigan State).
The next tier is Johnathan Franklin of UCLA, followed by Christine Michael (Texas A&M), Stefan Taylor (Stanford) or Montee Ball (Wisconsin).
Either Thomas on the second round and Bell on the third would constitute two more home runs.
