WATCH: Buck Dharma And Eric Bloom Talk About New Blue Öyster Cult Album

Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom jumped on Zoom to chat with me this week about the new Blue Öyster Cult album and their show in Belle Vernon this weekend!

The new record, which is titled "The Symbol Remains," is Blue Öyster Cult's first new album in almost two decades. Most of the basic tracks for the album were recorded in the studio before the lockdowns started, but they had to finish everything virtually, which was something new for the band. The mixing was done by the legendary Tom Lorde-Alge, and there are 14 tracks on the album.

They have already released music videos for three of the songs, which are all posted below. Keep an eye out for special guest Albert Bouchard in the video for "That Was Me." He did some background vocals on that one, and also handled the cowbell!

One song that we haven't heard yet is called "Florida Man," and Dharma told me that it tells the story of the Florida Man you hear about in the news so much.

"The Symbol Remains" is due out on October 9th, and this Saturday, October 3rd, the band will play their second live concert since March. It will be a socially distanced event at the Vinoski Winery in Belle Vernon, and feature special guests Abacus Jones and Mark Ferrari as the openers. Grab all of the info and your tickets HERE.
